Civil services main exams results declared

The results of the Civil Services (main) examination 2016 was published on Wednesday, with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announcing that interviews would start from mid-March.

The examination was conducted on December 9. “Personality Test of these (selected) candidates is likely to commence from March 20, 2017. Personality Tests will be held in the office of the Union Public Service Commission in New Delhi. The date and time of Personality Test will not be intimated to the qualified candidates individually,” a statement read.

The date and time of the interview will be displayed on http://www.upsc.gov.in.

Candidates who are unable to download the e-summon letter for the test should contact the UPSC office through letter, call 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or fax at 011-23387310 or 011-23384472. “No paper summon letters will be issued for the personality test/interview,” it said.

Candidates are advised to notify changes in their address, if any, to the commission immediately.

Those who cleared the main exams will be required to produce original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualification, community, physical handicap and other documents like questionnaire and attestation form,  among others, at the time of the interview.

The formats of various certificates and other forms can be downloaded from the UPSC website.

The marksheets of those who have not qualified will be put up on the commission’s website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting the personality test). It will be available on the website for 60 days.
