JOIN USA series of sparkling celebrations were recently organised to commemorate the 25-year-journey of Garden City College (GCC).
These will culminate in the inaugural ceremony of Garden City University. The department of hotel management hosted two events under the banner Blue Pool — ‘Herbal Drinks’ and ‘New Product from Waste Product’. The department of commerce and management also organised two events, ‘One Minute Manager’ and ‘Biz Wiz-The Business Quiz’.
The second day kickstarted with a plethora of events that showcased the talents of the students of GCC. Under the Red Pool banner, the department of tourism conducted events like ‘Collage Making’ based on the theme ‘Peace for All’ and ‘Treasure Hunt’. There was also ‘Caption Writing’ and ‘Photography’ organised under the department of media and journalism.
Then there were events like ‘Collage Making” based on the theme ‘Depression’ and the next one was the ‘Psychology Quiz’ under the department of social science. Fashion and apparel design-based activities like ‘Nail Art’ and ‘Costume Making using Paper’ were also organised on the occasion.
Day three had the banner Green Pool. To begin with, there were two events under the department of computer science namely ‘Presentation Competition’ and ‘Instant Ideation’. Then there was ‘Poster Presentation’ and ‘Scientific Photography’ organised under the department of life sciences. To call it a day, the third day of the extravagant celebrations ended with events like ‘Mr Fit and Miss Fit’ and ‘Hot Seat’ organised under the department of physiotherapy.
On February 25, they will be conducting activities like skits, sports, ‘Management Maya’, a food fest and gaming.
There will be an alumni meet and cultural programme on February 26. The following day, February 27, will see the launch of Garden City University.
