Students Union stay unbeaten

Students Union’s unbeaten run remained intact after they were held to a 2-2 draw by South United in the BDFA Super Division League at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Sunday.

Students continue to top the points table with 20 points from eight games while United are fifth, with nine points from seven matches.

Magesh put United ahead in the fourth minute but Students soon restored parity through Nanda seven minutes later.

Akshay then struck for Students in the 77th minute but Santhosh’s goal two minutes from the final whistle helped United see-off the game at 2-2.

Results: Super Division: South United: 2 (Magesh 4th, Santhosh 88th) drew with Student Union: 2 (Nanda 11th, Akshay 77th); ‘A’ Division: Bangalore Independetns: 3 (Zabi 7th, Karthick 12th,  D’souza 4th) bt BUFC: 1 (Achotha: 57th)
