PIL on Mantri Mall-Majestic Metro link dismissed

The Karnataka High Court on Friday dismissed a PIL seeking directions to expedite the Metro rail link between Mantri Square Mall and Majestic.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice R B Budihal said the delay is due to technical difficulties faced by the Metro rail project and the court cannot interfere. The petitioner had contended that the line between Mantri Square Mall and Majestic is not open, though the work is almost complete. The counsel representing Metro said the link would be opened at the earliest, following which the bench dismissed the PIL.
