The act of Yogesh, constable, and Rame Gowda, a head constable, attached to Chickpet traffic police station, who played Good Samaritans by rushing to the aid of a cab driver who suffered an epileptic attack, has been widely appreciated.

Around 12.45 pm on Thursday, near the exit of KSR-City railway station, Yogesh Kumar, the driver of an app-based cab aggregator, suffered an epileptic attack and lost control over the vehicle. He fell on the steering of the car and rammed it into a road divider. This led to traffic congestion on the stretch.

Yogesh and Rame Gowda heard the sound of the car crashing into the divider and immediately shifted Yogesh Kumar to a hospital. Deccan Herald had carried a detailed report in its March 24 edition.

MP Rajiv Chandrasekhar, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood, Additional Chief Secretary Ratnaprabha and 429 others have tweeted appreciating the cops’ efforts.

As many as 1,185 people have liked the post, while 5,000 people have liked the post on the Facebook wall. At least 1,000 people have shared the report. Autorickshaw drivers and street vendors have also appreciated the cops’ act.
