In yet another case of making a mockery of the government’s directives, a youth, who was walking with his female friend, had his head tonsured in the presence of the police in Shahajahanpur district.
The incident, which had taken place almost a week ago, came to light on Saturday when the video showing the youth being tonsured went viral on social networking sites.
According to sources, the youth and his friend were taking a walk in Azizganj area in the district when some locals caught them and informed the police.
The locals then shaved off his hair in the presence of the police. Three police personnel were suspended in this regard, and a probe has been ordered, officials said.
