Netizen detained for posting objectionable content against Naidu's son

Andhra Pradesh police during an early morning scoop here on Friday detailed a person from his residence in Shamshabad for allegedly posting objectionable material against the state IT minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on social networks, particularly Facebook.


Ravi Kiran Inturi a self proclaimed fan of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, chief of YSR Congress party and was taken to Tullur police station in Amaravati around 3.30 am  According  Padma , wife of Ravi Kiran, police who said that they are from Tullur in AP woke us up and took away her husband.  “They did tell me why they are taking him but didn’t disclose the place,” she said. Tulluru police say that a case has been registered against Ravi Kiran under section 67 of the IT Act (punishment for publishing or obscene material in electronic form) based on a complained has been filed a TDP functionary.


Inturi who runs a satirical page “Political Punch” on Facebook on behalf of YSRC Yuva Sena has been morphing comic features with Lokesh face calling him pappu. In the particular post that led to Inturi’s arrest he pasted an adult kissing scene on to the legislative Council restricting entry to Adults only and Lokesh asking his father that he would love to go inside. Inturi has been tracking all the faux pas of the 34 year first time MLC who has been inducted into the AP cabinet as IT and Panchayat Raj minister and trolling them.


Only recently, Nara Lokesh has called for action against those using social media platforms to criticize the government or the ruling party. He has called for criminal action against those who tarnish the image of the party. “We have no problems with the mainstream media; the problem is only with the social media which is under no one’s control. There is lot of bad propaganda going on against us,” Lokesh said to have told party leaders.
