Hockey Rajasthan registered a comfortable 5-1 win over hosts Hockey Bengaluru in their Pool D encounter of the 7th Hockey India Sub-junior National Championship (Boys) here at the Field Marshall KM Cariappa stadium on Wednesday.

Vijendra Singh Rathore was the star for Rajasthan as the young boy netted in four goals to lead the rout.

Kuljeet Singh opened the scoring for Rajasthan in the 14th minute, while Rathore doubled the advantage a minute later. Rathore scored his second in the 21st minute and then got past a non-existant Bengaluru defence to complete his hat-trick just before the half-time.

Though Bengaluru began the second half well with Prasanth Kumar Ramaji converting a penalty corner in the 37th minute, there was no way back for the hosts as Rathore added a fifth for his side in the 68th minute to cap off a commendable performance.
