<p>The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday granted eight weeks’ stay on the suspension order of BBMP Chief Engineer (Major Roads) K T Nagaraj. <br /><br />Nagaraj was accused of amassing wealth and booked for disproportionate assets by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.<br /><br />Justice G Narendar granted stay on the ground that there was not material to prove the allegations. <br />While calculating his assets, the ACB had not considered the income tax assessment and included even his spouse’s income. <br /><br />The judge granted stay for eight weeks and said final order is subject to the result of the writ petition.<br />In another matter, the high court directed the BBMP not to take coercive action against Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road. Justice Raghavendra <br /><br />S Chauhan passed an order in a petition complaining that the hospital was using its basement to collect their medical waste.<br /> <br /></p>
