JOIN USA 34-year-old man was killed and three others were injured in a collision between a van and a car in Peenya on Friday morning.
The deceased, Kumar, was a resident of Babusapalya and a car driver by profession. The injured Arun Kumar (36), Ravi (36) and Krishna are residents of Peenya. The three are being treated at a private hospital and are said to be out of danger.
According to the Peenya traffic police, the accident occurred around 3.30 am near the 8th Mile on Hesaraghatta main road. Kumar, Arun Kumar, Ravi and Krishna were on their way to Nelamangala. Arun Kumar was driving the car. Srinivas (26), the van driver, suddenly came on to the main road from Dasarahalli service road and hit the car. Kumar, who was sitting next to the driver, suffered severe head injuries and was killed on the spot. Local residents and the police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. The police have arrested Srinivas on the charge of reckless driving.
