16 year old commits suicide after not getting selected in JEE- Mains

A 16 year old Arijit Pramanik of West Bengal, was studying in Kota, committed suicide allegedly after not getting selected in JEE- Mains 2017.

Police found that the boy was unhappy after the results of JEE- Mains was declared on Thursday; forcing him to end his life. As per Kota SP Sawai Singh Godara  "Arijit committed suicide by hanging himself with the grill of the store room of his PG situated in Mahaveer Nagar area. He was studying in Kota for last two years. "

According to his close ones he was upset since yesterday for not scoring well in the exams. The result came as shock to him as his best friend got selected and he was unable to make it.

However no suicide note was recovered by the Police. Police has also informed his parents and relatives about the suicide.  In another incident a case of missing of a student hailing from Haryana has also been lodged in Mahaveer Police station. SHO Ramswarm said, "A 16 year old boy who was studying in one of the coaching centre is aslso missing after the results of JEE-Mains got declared on Thursday."
