<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday reiterated that he wants to raise the cap on reservation in employment and education to 70% from the present 50%.<br /><br />The government is waiting for the social-economic census report (caste census). It will take an appropriate decision in this regard, he told reporters. <br /><br />He claimed that migration of people to cities and towns in search of jobs has come down substantially as a result of the Anna Bhagya scheme. Though the state is reeling under drought, not many people are migrating, he added. <br /><br />He, however, did not give clear reply to a question whether the government was planning to start English medium schools. Instead, he spoke about the medium of instruction issue. The Centre should convene a meeting of all the states and try to resolve the medium of instruction issue, he added.<br />DH News Service</p>
