TCS World 10K Marathon: traffic police issue advisory

Bengaluru city traffic police have issued an advisory for traffic diversions and restrictions for the TCS World 10K Marathon in the city on Sunday.

Major roads in central Bengaluru will remain closed for traffic between 5.30 am and 9.35 am from Kanteerava Stadium, Kasturba Road, MG Road, up to Webb’s Junction, Museum Road, from Asirvatham Circle to SBI Junction, Dickenson Road, Cubbon Road, Central Street (up to Anil Kumble Circle), Queen’s Road, Dr Ambedkar Road and inside the Cubbon Park.

The police have issued an advisory that all type of vehicles are prohibited on the aforementioned route.

The police have suggested the following diversions:  Vehicles from JC Road and Nrupathunga Road and going towards Old Madras Road, MG Road, Halasuru and Marathahalli, should take a diversion at Hudson Circle.

Vehicles coming from Shivajinagar should move on Balekundri Circle, Cunningham Road, Chandrika Junction, Miller’s Road, LRDE Junction, Basaveshwara Circle and move further. Vehicles coming from Balekundri Circle should compulsorily take a left turn at Traffic Head Quarters junction and move on Infantry Road.

Vehicles entering Cubbon Park from KR Circle should take a diversion at KR Circle and move on Nrupathunga Road.
Vehicles coming from Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road should take a left turn at Queen’s Circle and move on Lavelle Road or Kasturba Road.

The movement of vehicles is prohibited from MG Road and St Mark’s Road towards BRV Junction.
Vehicles like tempo, goods vehicles and others entering the city from Old Madras Road should take a diversion at Suranjan Das Road and join Old Airport Road and move further ahead.

Movement of all types of vehicles is prohibited on Cubbon Road, according to the advisory.

Parking

Parking for participants is arranged in UB City parking lot. And general public can park their vehicles at St Joseph’s Indian High School Grounds.
