Cop's wife murder: son writes in blood- 'Tired of her, catch and hang me'

A note "tired of her, catch and hang me" - was found written in blood on the floor where the wife of the police officer - who probed the Sheena Border murder case - was stabbed to death at their flat in Santacruz West area of Mumbai on Wednesday.

Dipali Ganore (41)  was found in a pool of blood by her husband, police inspector Dnyeshwar Ganore(42), when he returned home from work in the morning. Ganore is attached to the Khar police station that investigated the Sheena Bora murder case under the supervision of the then Mumbai police chief Rakesh Maria. He was reportedly part of the team that executed the arrest of Indrani Mukerjea nee Bora, who is one the three suspects in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora.  

Ganore’s 20-year-old son, Siddhanth, was missing from Tuesday night - and he is the prime suspect in the case. The Vakola police station has registered a case of murder and investigations were in progress.

"A case of murder has been registered, and we are investigating all possible angles,” said senior inspector Mahadev Wavale of Vakola police station.

Her body was found by her husband at around 03:30am, when he returned back from work.The officer first tried to open the door but failed and her wife's phone too was unreachable. But somehow managed to open the door, he found his wife's body on the floor in a pool of blood. The murder weapon, a knife, was discovered on the floor of the apartment where the note "tired of her, catch and hang me" was written. He immediately contacted the police control room and informed of what had happened.

Police is obtaining the CCTV footage of the building. The body was sent for post-mortem to the VN Desai Hospital. The body would be taken to Nashik for last rites.

"As of now there has been no arrests. We are investigating the case," a police official said. As of now the suspect has not yet been traced. His mobile was also switched off.
