Actor Ragini Dwivedi believes that she is at a good point in her career. No surprises — the young actor has her hands full, with three movies in the pipeline and more scripts that she is working on.

In a candid chat with Tini Sara Anien, Ragini talks about her journey so far.

Having just celebrated your birthday, how do you see the year ahead?
This past year was a good one with a movie, that should have released a while back, seeing the light. It did reasonably well at the box office too. ‘Nanne Next CM’, ‘Kicchu’ and ‘Gandhigiri’ will release in the coming months. I also have a few other projects lined up.

Any birthday resolutions?
I never make resolutions. I believe that people who have weak minds do such things. If you have made up your mind to do something, then you should do it. I want to do good work and be satisfied with what I am doing.

Tell us about your latest project…
I announced a new movie on my birthday which will be with actor Aditya Singh. It is a love story.

Compared to last year, something you’d like to change about yourself?
The whole of last year has been about changes. I wanted to lose weight so I took time off for that. I am just
focussing on working on unique scripts now but I want to travel a lot and get my certification in scuba diving.

What about scuba diving interested you?
I am a water baby and I love the ocean. When I went to Hamilton Island in Australia, the first thing I did was
diving.  I realised that I wanted to go deeper into the subject. After that, I started diving everytime travelled after that.

Do you always plan for the future?
When it comes to films, I know the projects I am working on. But apart from that I don’t plan my personal life. I just like to go with flow.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I wish to be an entrepreneur. I also want to direct films. I am slowly working on it.

How has the industry changed since your entry?
In the last three years, Sandalwood has gone through big changes. It is one of the youngest film industries
thus comparing it to other industries is unfair. But we will be big and better as time passes. People are looking at change and accepting it, which is fantastic.

One role you want to explore...
I would love to play a double role.

Some things you remind yourself when you go in front of the camera...
I need to be myself all the time. Originality matters the most. I’m my own competition.
