Job fair for teachers' recruitment in Mangaluru on May 28

Udyoga Samaya Patrike, Dharwad, will conduct a job fair to select teaching and non-teaching staff at private education institutions, at Canara College, Mangaluru, between 8 am and 4 pm, on May 28.

Addressing reporters in Mangaluru on Thursday, Udyoga Samaya Patrike editor G R Mandre said there are around 1,000 teaching posts vacant in about 150 private schools. About 6,000 teachers are expected to take part from Karwar, Mangaluru, Udupi, Davanagere, Hassan, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Gadag, Bagalkot, Vijayanagar and Haveri districts.

The candidates can enrol by giving missed call to the phone number 8088644209. On May 28, they can attend to the job fair along with their original certificates and six sets of photocopies of each document and passport size photographs. At the venue, the candidates need to fill in the applications and obtain entrance passes, he said.

Mandre said that the posts available are Kannada and English medium school head teachers, assistant teacher, pre-primary school teachers, principals, lecturers, professors, first and second division assistants, librarians, sepoys, aayas, school vehicle drivers and security guards. The candidates who have passed DEd, BEd, NTC, MA, MSc, MCom, MCA, BA, BSc, B Com, BBA, BBM, BCA, BLISc, SSLC and seventh class can attend the job fair.

There is no maximum age limit for the candidates. Even retired teachers can apply, he informed. Job fair chief convener Basavaraj Horapet was present during the press meet.
