JOIN USThe Chandra Layout police have arrested three people in connection with a murder inside Ravi Bar and Restaurant on Gangondanahalli main road.
The suspects are Arun Kumar alias Typey (37), a resident of Besagarahalli in Mandya district, Chetan (22) from JJ Nagar and Akash (20) from Rajajinagar.The trio had hacked Arun Kumar alias Waley (26) to death inside the bar around 10.30 pm on May 20 over an old rivalry, said the police.
Waley and his associates had attacked Narendra, a resident of Bapujinagar, at Kumbalgodu over a petty issue about two years ago. The attack rendered Narendra physically disabled and he decided to take revenge on Waley.
Narendra developed a friendship with the suspects and plotted Waley’s murder. As per the plan, the trio contacted Bhaskar, the victim’s associate. They requested Bhaskar to arrange a meeting with Waley as they wanted to discuss a real estate matter with the latter. The meeting was fixed on May 20 at the bar, said the police.
The suspects had brought lethal weapons with them. During the discussion, they picked a fight with Waley and attacked him. They also used furniture and utensils for the attack. They repeatedly crushed Waley’s head against the wall and killed him on the spot. Based on leads provided by the bar workers, the police arrested the suspects.
