JOIN USA 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for raping his minor daughter a fortnight ago in Jaipur.
Police confirmed the rape by matching the father’s DNA with the blood stains on the six-year-old victim’s clothes.
The incident took place on May 8 when the girl went missing from a place near the 200-ft bypass where she was sleeping along with several others. Her parents are daily wage labourers.
Police commissioner Sanjay Agarwal on Friday said the girl was found a little while after she had gone missing. She had injuries on her face, neck and private parts.
A case of rape was then registered at the Shayam Nagar police station. “The dog squad and a team from the forensic science laboratory were brought to the spot, and adjacent areas were thoroughly searched. Several suspects were questioned, and the statement of the victim was also recorded,” said Agarwal.
