Actor Karishma Tanna rose to fame with her character ‘Indu’ in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. Her role in ‘Naagarjuna – Ek Yodha’ as ‘Maskini’ garnered her much appreciation and love. She recently bagged a cameo in Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt too.

Karishma was in the city recently for ‘India Luxury Style Week’ and walked the ramp as a showstopper for ‘Skechers’, the fitness partner for the event.

In a conversation with Surupasree Sarmmah, the actor gets candid about her life and work.

How often do you visit Bengaluru?
I come here often on work. A few years back, I came to the city and stayed here for a month when I was shooting for a South Indian film. After that, I was back for an event and now again, I am here for work. So it has always been work-related visits.

If you have to pick one character from any yesteryear movie, which one would it be and why?
Rekha’s character in the movie ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’. I like the transformation from a simple, demure girl to an extremely glamorous personality.

An event in your life that you consider as a turning point...
I believe it is yet to come.

What are you absolutely bad at — cracking a joke, keeping a secret or solving a math problem?
Cracking a joke and solving a math problem (laughs).

Your biggest fear...
To lose my loved ones and anybody breaking my heart.

If you are given a choice to have one super power, what would that be?
To live forever.

One annoying habit of yours that you absolutely hate...
I am very impatient. It is really annoying for me as well as for those around me.

A movie title that best suits your life at the moment...
‘Befikre’ (laughs). I am a ‘befikra’ right now.

Any projects in the pipeline...
I just finished shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s film, where I have a guest appearance opposite actors Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.
