Acting tough against those polluting the Subramanyapura Lake near Uttarahalli in Bengaluru South taluk, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has sent notices to nine residential apartment owners and layout developers asking them to come with documents for a meeting on Wednesday.

Following the frothing at Subramanyapura lake, KSPCB served notices on the presidents of Mantri Tranquil Apartment Owners’ association, Chartered Beverley Apartment Owners’ Association, Jain Swadesh Apartment Owners’ Association, Pride Apartment Owners’ Association, Sumo Krupa Temple View Apartment Owners’ Association, Pooja Nakshatra Apartment Owners’ Association, Parvatha Krishna Homes Apartment Owners’ Association, Jayanagar Housing Cooperative Society and Elegant Embassy Apartment Owners’ Association.

They have been asked to be present at 3 pm on Wednesday. The lake has turned into a cesspool due to the untreated sewage let into it directly and is full of weeds. The turtles in the lake have migrated to safer places while fish have died there.
