JOIN USA day after the Wilson Garden police arrested a school bus driver in BTM Layout for drunk-driving, Mico Layout traffic police arrested a 32-year-old school bus driver for driving under the influence of alcohol in Konanakunte on Kanakapura Road on Tuesday. The arrested is identified as Jagadish, a resident of Kanakapura.
The Mico Layout traffic police, during their routine enforcement drive, spotted a school bus being driven rashly. They stopped the bus and subjected the driver to an alcometer test and found the blood alcohol level beyond permissible limits. Alternative arrangements were made to ferry the students to their school while Jagadish was booked under IPC Section 279 for rash and negligent driving, endangering public lives and Section 185 of the Indian Motor Vehicles Act.
