The Opposition DMK in Tamil Nadu moved the Madras High Court seeking a CBI probe into the allegations made by two AIADMK legislators that huge money was offered to MLAs to support V K Sasikala group during their stay at Koovathur resort ahead of the trust vote in Tamil Nadu assembly.

Two private channels broadcasted video clips showing Madurai South MLA S.S.Saravanan from O Panneerselvam's camp and Sulur MLA R Kanagaraj from Edappadi Palaniswami faction allegedly disclosing that AIADMK MLAs, who were lodged in Kovathur resort, were offered money ranging from Rs 2 crore to ten crores besides promising gold to backup Sasikala's group.

In his plea, DMK advocate R Shanmugasundaram drew the attention of Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and asked the court to take up the matter immediately for issuing orders for CBI investigation. He also asked the court that Enforcement Directorate should also probe the scandal.

However, the bench said that the plea will be taken up for hearing on June 16 provided that the contentions are filed as a petition.

DMK counsel pointed out that his party had already filed a petition challenging the floor test in the Tamil Nadu assembly where Edappadi Palaniswami won the trust vote.

Meanwhile, AIADMK MLA Saravanan denied that it was not his voice in the video clipping. "It was not my voice. It was dubbed. I will take legal action with regard to the video", he added.

Rebel group leader and former chief minister O Panneerselvam said that he had sought a detail explanation from Saravanan, one of the MLA found in the video tapes.
