Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) will be held from August 31 to September 3. Submissions have been called for innovative, compelling, visually and thematically original short films.

Submissions for Kannada films are free. The festival was originally founded  by film artistes Prakash Belawadi and Anand Varadaraj of Suchitra Film Society (SFS).

“The highlight of the 2017 festival is “the script lab”, an innovative script writing workshop with the best minds in the industry.

“The panel discussions planned are with leading thinkers and industry practitioners, enabling amateur makers to interact with the industry’s finest to emulate and expand,” said Varadaraj, artistic director, BISFF.

The previous edition of the festival saw 3,000 submissions from around 85 countries under five different competition sections.

Complete eligibility information and official rules and regulations for the 2017 festival can be found at the festival website.

June 25 (Sunday) is the last day for submission of films.
