Tewari death: CBI quizzes his brother, guest house staff

The CBI which is  probing the mysterious death of Karnataka cadre IAS officer Anurag Tewari, who was found dead on the road in the Uttar Pradesh capital last month, quizzed his brother Mayank.

The team also questioned others, including the employees of the government guesthouse here where Tewari had been staying.

 According to sources here,  CBI sleuths have taken into possession Tewari’s laptop, mobile phone and other electronic gadgets. The agency would take help of the experts to retrieve the deleted data from the gadgets, sources added.

 The gadgets were handed over to the CBI by Mayank here on Thursday. Mayank, according to the sources, told the investigating agency about Tewari's frequent transfers, and his apprehension of foul play in his brother’s death.


 The CBI sleuths also quizzed the cops, who had reached the spot, where Tewari’s body was found lying and, the employees of the guesthouse to ascertain whether the IAS officer had rany visitor during his stay there.
