Film tourism policy on cards

The state government is contemplating introducing film tourism policy with an intention to attract producers from outside the state and the country to tourist destinations across Karnataka for shooting.

A meeting, chaired by Tourism Minister Priyank M Kharge, decided to prepare a draft in this regard. The draft is likely to be prepared by July 15.

KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy President Rajendra Singh Babu, MLC Jayamala and leading producers attended the meeting and shared their views. Kharge said, “As many as 317 tourist destinations have been identified across the state for shooting purpose.”
