CBSE invites applications for revaluation

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will accept applications for scrutiny of Class XII board examinations marks in twelve subjects only.

These subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Hindi Core and Hindi Elective, English Core, two English Electives — one based on the curriculum of the CBSE while other on that of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The board will accept applications for the scrutiny of the board marks till July 7 only from those students who have applied for the photocopy of the their answer sheets.

Students, who took Class X board examinations this year, can also apply for the scrutiny of their marks, though their results were declared in grades.

“Request for a maximum 10 questions in theory portion in twelve subjects will be entertained at the rate of Rs 100 per question. Request for scrutiny of the marks will only be accepted once,” the CBSE said in a notification.

It also notified the modalities to be followed for scrutiny of the marks.

“The applicant will have to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned, which would be available on the website along with the question paper and then submit application for scrutiny in the required question(s) with reasoning,” the board stated.
