They will be seen in a black polo T-shirt with the logo of the Bengaluru city police embroidered into it, with a matching cap and a pair of white trousers. <br /><br />The new uniform gives the mounted police personnel better visibility. <br /><br />“Riders will feel comfortable in the new uniform. They will also be given reflective jackets for smooth movement of the horses through traffic on Commercial Street and Brigade Road,” D Kishore Babu, deputy commissioner of police, City Armed Reserve (headquarters), told DH.<br /><br />CAR has just five horses in its stable and there are plans to increase it to 12. “We are going to expand horse patrolling in the city,” he said. <br /><br />The five-member mounted patrol squad is deployed on Commercial Street on Tuesdays and on Brigade Road on Thursdays. They can be spotted in Cubbon Park on Saturdays and Sundays. The horse-mounted police are used for crowd control in these areas. <br /></div>
