Award for e-waste recycler

P Parthsarathy, e-waste recycler of Bangalore, was honoured recently during the 20th Foundation Day of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) in New Delhi.

 The Union Minister for Finance Pranab Mukherjee honoured Parthsarathy by presenting him a memento.

The recognition is conferred on Parthasarathy for the best innovative method of conserving natural resources and generating employment to the
rural poor. 

Parthasarathy is the Managing Director, e-Parisaraa, Pvt Ltd at Dobaspet in Bangalore. He introduced the indigenous process for the first time in India which has not only helped conservation of natural resources like mineral wealth, water, energy, but also to generate employment to the rural poor, especially women.

For the last five years, e-waste recycled at e-Parisaraa has recovered metals including precious metals, recyclable glass and plastics. SIDBI has supported the recycling facility.
