BJP, JD(S) train guns on CM
The chief minister has given control of the Home department to the person who had taken voluntary retirement. Senior police officers are forced to listen to him. “It is unbecoming of a chief minister to make the adviser sit next to him in the review meeting on Monday...If he (Siddaramaiah) really wants his (Kempaiah’s) advice, he should take it at his residence,” JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy told reporters here.
BJP state general secretary Shobha Karandlaje accused Kempaiah of interfering with the day-to-day administration of the police department. “There cannot be peace and harmony in the state as long as Kempaiah continues in the Home department,” she added.
