One more NBW against Janardhana Reddy

Sandur, Apr 5,dhns:

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Minister Janardhana Reddy by the town Civil Judge (Junior Division) court on Monday.

A case had been filed against Reddy and others at the Torangal police station in 2006 by Tapal Narayana for changing the boundary post at Vitalapura and Tumati in the district, and at Mallappannagudi in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. Following this, Reddy and others had obtained anticipatory bail.

However, a non-bailable warrant was issued against them in December, last year, for continuously being absent at the hearings. Reddy had then appealed to the Dharwad High Court  circuit bench seeking withdrawal of the warrant, which was dismissed by the Court.
Meanwhile, the advocate for Tapal Narayana filed an objection to the application filed by Assistant Public Prosecutor seeking permission to withdraw the case against Janardhana Reddy. It may be recalled that the Cabinet had decided to withdraw the case against Reddy. The case has been posted for April 24.
