<p>The Yashwantpur-Hosur passenger train saw the second protest within a week as commuters traveling from Bengaluru blocked the train to oppose 'lack of punctuality' in the service.<br /><br />Hundreds of passengers blocked the train (train number 06592) for more than two hours at Byappanahalli A Cabin halt station protesting against the delay and the regulation of the train due to crossing of express trains at Byappanahalli junction.<br /><br />The train which leaves Yashwantpur at 6.30 am, came to Byappanahalli A Cabin only at 7.30 am. Thousands passengers, a majority of them techies from northern parts of the city travelling to the IT belt in eastern part of the city who missed their log-in hours started a protest.<br /><br />The train, which arrived at 7.30 am, left Byappanahalli A Cabin only at about 9.30 am. Police personnel had to come to disperse the protesters.<br /><br />“Stopping the train is not a solution as it further delays the train and affects more number of people. But the railways has to understand that this is a crucial train used by about 9,000 people every day and delays like this affect their lives. Steps should be taken to solve the problems,” said Suhas Narayana Murthy, a techie who is campaigning for more trains on the route..<br /><br />Last Thursday, angry commuters blocked the train at Anekal Road station for more than an hour as the train coming from Hosuru reached the station nearly 50 minutes late.<br /> </p>
