Charges framed against Dhinakaran

A court here on Tuesday framed charges afresh against V K Sasikala's nephew TTV Dhinakaran in connection with the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA) violation case.
 
Following recent High Court order, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) framed charges afresh against Dhinakaran.
 
Dhinakaran appeared in person before the court. When Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Malarmathy read out the charges against him, he denied them.
 
Later, the court posted the case for further hearing on August three.
 
According to the case, Dhinakaran had acquired huge amount in US dollars in foreign exchange without obtaining prior permission from the RBI. The money was deposited in a private company.
