Check Point unveils Abra for mobile work force

The device is aimed at workers accessing their corporate network from home personal computers or internet cafes. It provides users access to company emails, files and applications anywhere whether offline or online through integrated virtual private network (VPN) connectivity.

The pen drive loads itself automatically on any PC, and contains local encrypted storage to protect any data stored on the device.  Briefing reporters, Check Point Regional Director — India & SAARC Bhaskar Bakthavatsalusaid the device are currently availabile with a storage capacity of 4GB and 8GB and is priced at Rs 8,400 and Rs 12,600 respectively. Abra was developed in colloboration with SanDisk, where the latter uses Checkpoint technology to manufacture the drives, he added.
