Mass copying allowed fearing cut in grants

Athani:Apr 7, DHNS:

Claims by the administration that all steps have been taken to prevent malpractices and copying during the SSLC examination stood exposed on Wednesday with incidents of mass copying coming to light at many examination centres.

School managements and supervisors were noticed making all arrangements for facilitating mass copying in Kokatnur and Nandgaon Government High School examination centres.
When this reporter visited some of the examination centres, it was noticed that students instead of writing examination papers by sitting on their marked seats were seen writing the papers in groups by keeping notes and chits in front.

Supervisors and managements of the schools were also seen helping the students. People visiting the examination rooms was a common scene and presence of parents and people made it appear it was an examination of some lower primary school with parents waiting for their tiny tots to come out.

People said supervisors had facilitated copying fearing the government could cut the grants of aided schools for not keeping up SSLC results up to to the desired mark.
