JOIN USThe High Court of Karnataka on Thursday stayed admissions to BPharm courses in three pharmacy colleges.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar, however, allowed the ongoing counselling for BPharm course to continue.
Hearing an appeal filed by Krupanidhi Education Trusts, Acharya and B M Reddy College of Pharmacy and Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education, the bench granted interim relief to the colleges directing the state government not to admit the students to these colleges.
These colleges had approached a single-bench court contending that the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) was not following the Supreme Court guidelines with regard to the counselling date.
The colleges had contended that counselling was being held beyond the last date as scheduled by the Supreme Court. As the single bench had refused to grant the stay, the colleges moved the division bench.
