Narasapur tank will get water by Nov or Dec-end: Muniyappa

Member of Parliament K H Muniyappa said Narasapura tank would be filled with treated water from KC Valley project by November or December-end.

Speaking at a programme organised by the district Congress SC unit to felicitate its new president Jayadev at T Chennaiah Ranga Mandira here on Sunday, Muniyappa said all the 121 tanks in the district would be filled in a year. He said the District Minister Ramesh Kumar, ministers Ramalinga Reddy, T B Jayachandra and I are meeting every 15 days to discuss the progress of the water projects. People who are hindering works will be dealt with iron hands.”

He said he vowed to set up 10 residential schools including the Valmiki, Morarji and Navodaya schools in every hobli and provide quality education for the poor children.

The MP called on the minorities, backward classes and the Dalits to enrol their children to residential schools. “The government is releasing special grants for the purpose. Everyone should avail themselves of the benefit.”


He said he would pressure the government to set up more centres to train candidates for competitive exams.

District Congress president K Chandra Reddy sought the cooperation of all in strengthening the party base in the district and called upon everyone to strive to bring the party to power in the next Assembly elections in 2018.
