Guest house owner jailed after molesting a Columbian tourist

Vikas Kumar, a 23-year-old guest house owner in Udaipur has been jailed till August 29 for allegedly molesting a Colombian woman who was his guest.
 
As per the police, a 53-year-old Columbian woman was staying along with her son at ‘The Journey’ guest house. The incident took place on the midnight of August 15 when the co owner of the guest house Vikas Kumar had befriended the woman.

"Woman had reached Udaipur on August 14 and according to her the owner misbehaved and molested her on the midnight when she was about to sleep", Jagdish Chandra (ASI), Investigating Officer, Ambamata Police Station told DH. 
 
"She was sleeping in a dormitory and each bed was covered by the blinds but the main door was open. The guest house owner in the midnight entered the dormitory and sat beside her and then molested her", Jagdish Chandra added.

However, the woman managed to escape and contacted police station without delay. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused.

After investigation Vikas was produced before the court on Thursday which sent him to judicial custody.
