CAIT for tech audit of GSTN portal

Traders body CAIT has urged the government to conduct technology audit of the GSTN portal.

The demand comes after the portal showed errors while downloading GST challans earlier this month. “Only a small section of about 80 lakh business entities registered with GSTN were trying to use the portal for filing very limited data, which was either inaccessible or showing errors or could not get the form or challan downloaded, kept the traders in a fix. In September, the portal has to take care of more than three billion vouchers,” CAIT said.

The recent experience of the traders with the GSTN portal with regard to filing of GST Form 3B was not at all good and therefore in order to ensure smooth functioning of GSTN portal, CAIT has suggested that the government conduct a technology audit of the portal.
