Man gets 5 aides to rob friends after losing gambling game

Six men gatecrashed a birthday party in Hanumanthanagar, South Bengaluru, and robbed a group of friends indulging in gambling.

One of the robbers had actually come to the party hours earlier and played a card game.

He, however, lost badly and left the party while other friends continued gambling. A while later, he and five of his friends barged into the house where the party was going on and robbed the revellers at knifepoint. Rs 28,000 in cash, three mobile phones and a 63-gram gold chain are the valuables they took away.

The friends had gathered at the house of Muralidhar for the birthday party of Harish. There was a lot of liquor and food served.

Although the alleged kingpin was known to the victims, the Hanumanthanagar police have registered a case of dacoity on the basis of a complaint filed by Muralidhar. No arrests have been made yet.
