In good news for Namma Metro riders, who long complained about lack of parking facility at Kempegowda Metro Station in Majestic, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has called tenders for managing parking space that can accommodate 500 bikes and 82 cars.
Parking facility will also be available for City Railway Metro and Indiranagar Metro stations soon. The latter will not have space for four-wheelers but allows a maximum of 155 bikes. The City Railway Metro Station parking area can accommodate 200 bikes and 25 four-wheelers.
As per the tender document, the bids will be opened on September 13, following which it will take a few days for the operation of licenced parking.
