O Panneerselvam, who was sworn in as the deputy chief minister on Monday, got additional portfolios, including planning and legislative assembly, on Tuesday.
A Raj Bhavan statement here said Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, on the recommendations of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, allocated the portfolios of planning, legislative assembly, elections and passports — hitherto dealt with by Jayakumar — to Panneerselvam, in addition to the portfolios held by him.
The governor also re-designated Jayakumar as Minister for Fisheries, Personnel and Administrative Reforms.
On Monday, Panneerselvam was allocated an important portfolio of finance.
