With Tamil Nadu governor yet to decide on the plea of 19 MLAs supporting TTV Dhinakaran seeking no confidence motion, the ruling AIADMK led by Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday expressed confidence that the government cannot be destabilised.

"The government cannot be destabilised. We are all together only and We are confident that the ruling AIADMK would complete its full tenure", party MP and Lok Sabha deputy speaker Thambidurai said.

'We have a majority and this government will continue without any hurdle", he added.

However, stepping up his fight back and sending a message that he is still in authority of the AIADMK "Amma" faction, sidelined leader Dhinakaran made several changes in the party postings including removing revenue minister R B Udhaya Kumar from Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Peravai Secretary.

Meanwhile, Raj Bhavan sources said that governor CH Vidyasagar Rao has not taken any decision with regard to the letter given by Dhinakaran supporters. "He (governor) left for Mumbai on Tuesday itself", a senior official from Raj Bhavan said seeking anonymity.

He said the next visit of the governor to Chennai was not known.

With the governor left the city, 19 legislators, who were lodged in a resort near Puducherry, were clueless that how long they would stay in the hotel.

"We came here for vacation for a get-together. We do not know how long we will stay here", Thangatamilselvan, who was one among the MLAs saying in the resort, said.

Meanwhile, Puducherry AIADMK cadres led by former party legislator Om Sakthi Sekar staged a protest demonstration near the hotel against the alleged detention of legislators against their will.

They also burnt the effigies of Dhinakaran.

On the ruling party side, Palaniswami and deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam left for Trichy in same flight to take part in the MGR birth centenary functionary celebrations.
