Saffron leader says Rohingya Muslims 'more dangerous' than IS

Controversial saffron leader Sadhvi Prachi has asked the union government to take immediate notice of the entry of Rohingya Muslims into the country from Myanmar and take steps to send them back to their country.

''Rohingya Muslims are more dangerous than even the Islamic State (IS) terrorists.....they pose grave danger to our security,'' Sadhvi Prachi said in an informal chat with reporters at Muzaffarnagar, about 500 kilometres from here, on Wednesday evening.

She expressed serious concern over what she termed ''infiltration'' by 40 thousand Rohingya Muslims in the country. ''About 15 thousand of them have already reached Kashmir,'' she claimed.

Sadhvi Prachi, who was known for her controversial remarks, said that the main ''objective'' of these infiltrators was to spread terror in India.

''India can not be a Dharamshala (inn) for these people...they must be sent back to Myanmar immediately,'' the firebrand saffron leader said.

''Why don't they (Rohingya) take refuge in other Muslim majority countries...no one is ready to give them shelter,'' she said.

Sadhvi Prachi accused the Rohingya Muslims of indulging in killings of innocent Buddhists in Myanmar. ''Buddhism preaches love and peace...but Buddhists were targeted by the Rohingya Muslims,'' she alleged. ''It is a very dangerous situation and the centre must pay attention to it,'' she said.

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims, the inhabitants of Rakhine state in Myanmar, have fled from there following alleged persecution by the army and have crossed over to Bangladesh and India. A UN report also blamed the Myanmar government for the plight of the Rohingyas.
