Go the 'dhaba' style

If you are one of those for whom ambience matters as much as the food does, then you should head to ‘Sibatti’ located in the busy streets of HSR layout. Though it looks like a small place from the outside, you will be surprised with the spacious interiors as you step in.

The restaurant has a ‘dhaba’ styled setting where there is enough room for the natural light to brighten the place. Though it is a pretty huge place, the ambience instantly gives out a warm and cosy vibe. Be it in the afternoon or in the evening, this place tends to get full quite fast, so, grab the first table you see.

Coming to the food, the array of options available in the menu is sure to spoil you for choice. You can start your meal with a plate of ‘Dahi ke kebab’. The finely cooked kebabs are soft and one can taste the perfectly blended spices and the little hint of sourness is just right for your taste buds. The ‘Kalmi kebab’ is another option for appetiser if you want to try their the non-vegetarian starters.

As you enjoy the bites of the starters, flip through the pages of the menu and ask for ‘Malvani chicken curry’ and a bowl of ‘Dal makhani’. The soft ‘Phulkas’ or the ‘Butter naans’ are the perfect accompaniment. Though the ‘Malvani chicken curry’ was lip-smacking, the classic ‘Dal makhani’ could have been creamier and the spices could have been blended properly. The salt content in the dal too should be checked.

The portions are quite generous and can be filling too, so watch out, if you are in a mood to explore the menu. If you still have some space left in your stomach, you should try the ‘Murg dum biryani’. The soothing aroma of saffron will instantly make you hungry. Indulge in the flavourful biryani and satiate your hunger. It had just the right amount of spices and the chicken too was well cooked.

Wash down the heavy meal with a glass of ‘Masala buttermilk’ or tingle your taste buds with the ‘Anardana Ras’.

The service is quite prompt and so are the staffs.
