JOIN USUnseeded Shivani Pathi produced a fighting performance to upset RN Savita, seeded second, 21-15, 21-11 and enter the women’s singles semifinals of the Devanahalli State-ranking badminton tournament for Seniors at the Venugopalswamy Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.
In the men’s singles quarters, top seed Raghu Mariswamy and second seed Nikhil Shyam Sriram made their way into the last four after recording wins in their respective matches.
Mariswamy outclassed Yuvraj Shinde 21-9, 21-9 while Sriram powered past sixth seed Anirudh Deshpande 21-13, 21-13.
