BJP says chief minister has 'lost his mental stability'

Last Updated 23 September 2017, 21:37 IST

Union Minister Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D V Sadananda Gowda on Saturday accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of losing his mental stability and said people have stopped taking him seriously for his “loose talk”.

“The chief minister appears to have lost mental stability. He has realised that his party cannot come back to power in the next election. Hence, he is making desperate statements...People have stopped taking him seriously for his loose talk,” he told reporters who sought his reaction to Siddaramaiah’s statement that Yeddyurappa does not have the courage to demand farm loan waiver from the Centre.

BJP spokesperson S Suresh Kumar said the chief minister has been providing entertainment to people by making such speeches.

‘Leaders as thieves’

A senior Congress MLA (K N Rajanna) recently described Congress leaders as thieves and Health Minister K R Ramesh Kumar defended him.

The chief minister has failed to pacify his own party leaders. Hence, he has been accusing Modi and Yeddyurappa without any basis, the MLA added.
