Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture A Manju said on Monday that the recruitment process of veterinarians was almost over and that the temporary list would be announced soon.
Addressing a press conference, he said 1,512 veterinary hospitals in the state would be upgraded. A total of 312 hospitals would get additional facilities in the first phase. Ambulances to help transport diseased animals would be started in 50 hoblis, the minister said.
Mobile phones fitted with GPS technology would be provided to veterinarians to keep tabs on them, he said. All districts will have animal diagnostic facilities soon, he announced.
