JOIN USThe Kodigehalli police arrested a cab driver for allegedly molesting 14-year-old school-girl at Bhadrappa Layout in North Bengaluru on Tuesday morning.
The suspect has been identified as Mohammed Muksar (30), a resident of Kodigehalli.
The police said that when the victim was on her way to school around 7.30 am, Muksar flashed at her after stopping his car next to her and moved towards her. Hearing the girl’s screams, passerby caught him and informed the police.
The police, who rushed to the spot, arrested him and registered a suo motu case and filed a molestation case under section 354 (outraging the modesty) and 509 (act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC against the driver.
He was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody. Police are investigating if he was involved in such cases before.
