IT major Infosys has filed a complaint before the cybercrime police station against unknown persons for sending vulgar emails to their senior personnel.

Police said that Santhosh Nair, an employee of Infosys, filed a complaint on Tuesday on behalf of the company stating that one Alphesh Patel sent an email from patelbalpesh@yahoo.com ID to company secretary A G S Manikantha, chief financial officer Ranganath Dwarakanath Mavinakere and Sandeep Mahindroo.

The mail contains vulgar messages and the sender claimed in the mail that he has also sent mails to former president Pranab Mukherjee, US President Donald Trump and the US government, warning against assigning work to Infosys, accusing the company of spreading terrorism in society.

The police have registered a case under section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act 2008. The police said they will catch the culprit with the help of their technical team.
