Last Updated 30 September 2017, 17:09 IST

Roposo, a social networking entertainment app, has been relaunched as a digital TV platform called ‘TV by the People’.

This is the third time it has repositions itself. First, as a women-focused platform, and then as a fashion social network, and now it is repositioned as a digital television platform.

Roposo CEO and Co-Founder Mayank Bhangadia said, “We realised that people not only interact about fashion on our platform, but also share and talk about various stories. Hence, we thought to make Roposo as a digital platform.”

Roposo, established in July 2014 by three IIT Delhi alumni Mayank Bhangadia, Avinash Saxena and Kaushal Shubhank, also plans to launch its latest avatar with the #TrulySwadeshi campaign.

Through this app, one can watch user-generated channels and what is relevant to them and at the same time connect with a wide audience across the globe.

“We have been working on this platform since January, and we will be introducing features continuously. Right now, we provide 20 channels- Gabru, Top-Notch, Ha-Ha TV- users can share their own content and that will be seen by people across the globe. Going forward, more channels will be introduced. So, it’s like a TV on your smart phone. You can download the app and keep watching content of your interest at the same time one can also upload,” explained Bhangadia.

There is also a separate channel where sellers can upload their products.
